During the current election campaignt he NDP have pledged more than $40 billion over the next four years in their official platform. Today they had to backpeddle on more than $3 billion of 'green' spending because there is no money to fund it. It relies on a cap-and-trade system that does not exist. Ouch!

Today the U.S. government's credit rating was downgraded, just as Ontario's was earlier this year. It seems that the world's credit institutions do not believe our politicians are taking the economy seriously enough. Ouch!

Ontarians have been slapped with repeated hydro-rate increases and hidden fees over the past several years. Yet, over the past several weeks with rivers surging, hydro prices have actually slipped below $0.00. This means that Ontario has been giving away energy for free to other jurisdictions who purchase their power, such as those south of the border. Will Ontario's consumers see any break? No way.  OUCH!
