FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO (September 7, 2011) - Today, Ontarians for Responsible Government, a project of the National Citizens Coalition, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, OntarioAgenda.org.
"Many Ontarians have been extremely disappointed by our elected officials' unwillingness to tackle the tough issues facing our province," says Peter Coleman, President and CEO of Ontarians for Responsible Government. "Now that our Agenda for Ontario is part of the debate, Ontario's politicians have nowhere to hide during this election campaign."
With Ontario's current $14-billion budget deficit, and no clear plan to balance the budget, the Agenda for Ontario offers the potential to get our province back on track.
"We have a clear blueprint to rein in Ontario's out-of-control spending and provide value for taxpayers - two things that are long overdue in our province," continues Coleman.
Dalton McGuinty has increased provincial spending from $73-billion in 2003 to over $120-billion today. A full account of McGuinty's broken promises and irresponsible spending can be found at OntarioAgenda.org
"We have been listening closely to hard-working taxpayers while creating our Agenda for Ontario - something our elected officials have been avoiding,' says Coleman. "It is time for McGuinty, Hudak, and Horwath to all be straightforward about the major issues facing Ontario's economy. Taxpayers deserve no less."
