NCC Heritage

Welcome to the National Citizens Coalition Heritage website

The National Citizens Coalition is an organization devoted to making government more responsive to the electorate. The NCC grew from a tool Colin M. Brown; founder of the NCC began using some 40 years ago to ask questions of, or to express dissent with the government of the day. This device was the paid newspaper advertisement.

While politicians had ready access to the press in order to express their views, Colin M. Brown used paid advertising, the cost of which he underwrote himself, to offer the public an opportunity to express their own views and opinions.

Through this medium the National Citizens Coalition was formed!

This section of our website is dedicated to some of the best and most significant advertisements produced by the National Citizens Coalition over the past 40 years. Here you can learn about the heritage of the NCC, how the organization began, and why after 40 years of more freedom through less government the NCC still has an important role to play in Canadian politics.
