Very lax controls and oversight at Industry Canada have left taxpayers on the hook for millions of dollars. The government has been approving small business loans for unqualified applicants - and renewing them year after year. When these fraudsters repeatedly default on their loans, taxpayers have to make up the difference. Last year alone this scheme cost taxpayers $106 million. Ouch!

According to recently released government documents, many of Canada's First Nations' chiefs earn more moeny than most provincial premiers! The federal government has been reluctant to release this information, despite the use of taxpayer-dollars to pay these salaries. Ouch!

The rest stops along Ontario's HWY 401 and HWY 400 are currently being redesigned - with some stops having been closed since 2008. This has been a major problem for drivers in search of gas - but taxpayers have now learned that we will be contributing $200 million dollars to the project, despite promises from the province that public money would not be used. Ouch!
